Take the plunge on a journey around Henley right here on the bank of the River Thames. With 18 holes of adventure golf fun, you’ll navigate your ball around Henley’s landmarks. Play past Friar Park, the home of Beatles’ member George Harrison, and over his iconic Fender Stratocaster; see the beautiful Temple Island; be careful not to lose your ball in the Thames as you hit it over Henley Bridge; have a photo with Matthew Pinsent and Steve Redgrave and see one of their actual training rowing boats.
Our course is fully accessible and great fun for all ages, and Henley’s picturesque riverfront is the perfect backdrop, so come down and see if you can get a hole in one!
The Course
Kenton
Play past our miniature Kenton through a course with all the drama, suspense and fun of an evening at one of the UK’s oldest working theatres.
Henley Town Hall
Do not be deceived by Henley Town Hall’s chocolate box appearance – this is a tricky shot! Make it in one and you will be off to a flying start!
George Harrison’s Stratocaster
Follow the flowing curves of George Harrison’s Fender Stratocaster overlooked by an intricate model of his beloved neo–Gothic Home, Friar Park. There’s no need to fret take your time with this one – something tells us it will all come together!
St. Mary’s Church
Built in the 13th Century, St Mary’s is one of the most distinguishing features of the town. Its chequerboard brickwork is reminder that this hole is all about strategy – keep your eye on the prize!
Chantry House
The Chantry House is one of the county’s finest timber-framed buildings. This will put your skill and dexterity to the test!
Temple Island
This world-famous landmark sits at the starting line of the Henley Royal Regatta course. Any rower will tell you that a good start is essential, so wind up to a great shot here, and success is yours.
Henley Bridge
Henley Bridge has been a crossing point of the Thames since ancient times. Remember – hold your nerve and go with the flow!
Pinsent Redgrave Rowing Boat
Name a more dynamic duo… we’ll wait. This hole pays tribute to Steve Redgrave and Matthew Pinsent’s extraordinary triple Olympic gold medal-winning partnership. Go for gold by negotiating this challenging put.
Marsh Lock
Put back across the Thames at Marsh lock and you’re on course for victory.
Rupert’s Elm
Henley was home to some of the fiercest fighting during the Civil War. It is said that Prince Rupert had a parliamentarian hung from the bough of this elm as a cautionary tale the surrounding troops. Will you win the battle? (This is the final hole).

Plan Your Journey
BY CAR: We encourage everyone to come by public transport if possible. However, parking is available next to the course at Mill Meadows car park. The car park can be very busy, so be sure to arrive in plenty of time. If the car park is full, try the public car park at the River & Rowing Museum located further down at Mill Meadows.
BY TRAIN / BUS: The course is a three minute from Henley train station, just a short journey from both London and Reading. There are also regular bus services from Oxford, Reading and High Wycombe.
